Drive, My Hawkmen! Drive!

Posted by Starbuck on Thu, Aug 5th 2010, 8:20 am

. Brian Blessed on a GPS. What more do you really need to know?

How about that come October- you should actually be able to get it?

You're welcome.

Automatic Weapons- Better With Bacon

Posted by Starbuck on Wed, Mar 31st 2010, 3:34 pm

. As you probably know- I am among those who will be storming other people's Well Stocked Compounds when civilization finally takes a dive.

But it's good to know that while I'm being riddled with shells along with the rest of the rampaging horde- my last knowledge of this earth just might be the sweet, sweet smell of bacon cooking on the barrel of the gun that's doing me in.

Of course, I won't get to eat any of it- so that will suck.

Sing to us, baby!

. CNN has once again been spending time wisely, and focusing on what is truly important these days....Geek Music. Guess who made the Top 10?

Judgement Day

Posted by Zardoz on Thu, Feb 4th 2010, 11:00 am

. Hmm.. Cars that inexplicably accelerate and crash into something causing the system reset thus leaving no evidence. Does anyone else think this seems a lot like Skynet covertly testing the waters for a global takeover?

Wheel inside a wheel

Posted by Bricker on Wed, Dec 23rd 2009, 10:53 pm

. So I know this guy named Garrick and he is the kind of guy you'd think might match up with the BIYF and then I stumble across his tribute/fan video of Shop Vac.

So for all you JoCos out there, I humbly submit this link:

http://garrickvanburen.com/archive/shop-vac-in-the-suburbs-music-video

And introduce you to the world of Garrick which is a fontrific place of joy and enlightenment.

Warm regards,

BRQ

BIYF- Unplugged

Posted by Starbuck on Fri, Oct 30th 2009, 8:47 am

. Gizmodo has a very odd yet compelling article today on why there are so many different kinds of electrical plugs in the world today.

Seriously- it is an interesting read. Esp. the part about why the Brits have such a bizzaro plug (it has to do with WWII and the blitz- strange).

Interesting way to kill some time on a Friday.

Go Hawkeyes!

JoCo /Paul&Storm

Posted by Starbuck on Tue, Oct 27th 2009, 8:31 am

. Gosh- that was fun!

Quick recap for those who missed it:
Gosh- that was fun!

Highlights:
Guthrie was a really nice place.

Scooby-do style hallway set- perfect for "creepy doll", but we all kept waiting for the chase scene

"Opening Band" panties full of hot-dog shaped bubblegum and chocolate...we hope

Stuffed monkey/pony from Build-A-Bear

Stuffed squid fail (no beak)

Bus Plunge (which apparently will not be written. Bummer.

Worst. Zombie. Chior. Ever. And that's my Iron Maiden cover band name.

Unfortunately, we had a Fail on the "Opening Band" panty throw. Anders can't seem to recall what happened to the BIYF thong I got her as a joke a couple years ago. SHE claims it got thrown out, but I'm suspicious. Something for next time.

All in all, a great time. (Read more...)
