I'm glad this website is so excited that they've scored a "William Shatner singing a Christmas carol" exclusive and I'm glad sales will benefit Shatner's Hollywood Charity Horse Show, but could the site look a little more like it came from 1995?
Holy Time Machines, Batman.
There's no indication what the song is from what I can tell. I'm hoping for "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and not "Deck the Halls."

One of Aesop's fables may have been based on fact, scientists report.
In the tale, written more than 2,000 years ago, a crow uses stones to raise the water level in a pitcher so it can reach the liquid to quench its thirst.
Now a study published in Current Biology reveals that rooks, a relative of crows, do just the same when presented with a similar situation.

No, not these. Instead it's an arena show based on the BBC series Walking With Dinosaurs using giant robotic dinosaur puppets. If we ignore the lessons of Westworld, then this would be something that little 8-year-old Zardoz wouldn't have been able to love more.
Heck, I loved this. Giant robotic dinosaur puppets would probably have made my head explode. I mean, I love all of those words.

I know this is just another way to give George Lucas money, but it caught my interest. At least it features one of the best things ever associated with Star Wars: the music.
More information below or visit the official website here.
Since it's a "worldwide" tour I assume they'll continue to add more dates as time goes on.

It looks like they're going to attempt to raise the Alien franchise from the dead once again.
The potentially bad: Prequel. Almost never a good idea.
The potentially good: Ridley Scott attached to return as director.

Well, Bat-Fans, this is as close as you're going to get to a 60's-era Batman release on home video for a while so get it now if that's your bag. Adam West releases a two-disc set of his recollections from the series titled Adam West Naked.

Once again beer enters the national headlines. This time President Obama tries to patch up race relations over a couple of brewskies.
On the one hand- I know for a fact that most of my more brilliant ideas occurred after a few (dozen) sips of some sort of alcoholic beverage.
On the other hand- I can't for the life of me remember any of them.
But I think it's worth a shot. With a beer chaser.

We all knew this, but the old slogan for Guinness may just be true: "Guinness is Good for You."
More from the BBC below. Thanks to Blendergirl for pointing this one out. Also kudos to my browser spell-checker for knowing that "Guinness" is correctly spelled and "Guiness" was a typo.

The pictures for this year's TrekFest are posted over at BIYF (link below).
Old news, to be sure, but you can bet there are way more pictures of green women than NOTE posted on Facebook.
