Not hearing much about this in the main media, but those of us who have at least SOME concern about the future of the planet should be glad that at least someone out there is pointing out the incredibly stupid packaging practices we seem to get stuck with.

There has to be a better way.

Scientists have invented something they're now calling transparent aluminum ala Star Trek IV. All I can say is that I hope their research began while they were using an 80's-era Macintosh Classic.

Say, how does transparent aluminum get invented in the new Star Trek universe now that the future of those characters has been changed and part of that future involves going back in time and leaking the information? Time for a writer to point over your shoulder, scream "Paradox!" and then run away while you turn to see what he's screaming about.

Wired gives us 100 things your kids may never know about. Just remember before you get too nostalgic- we couldn't wait to dump most of these at the first opportunity, so they weren't THAT great!

Although #93- looking out the window during a long drive- that one I think we'll regret losing. After hours of flat Wyoming and Montana plains, the sight of Beartooth Pass looming up into the clouds still rates as one of my all time favorite childhood memories. All the more so for the contrast with the flat flat flat I'd been seeing up to that point.

So the first new pictures are out of The Doctor v11.0. I'm more than willing to give this a chance given the great record they've established to date with the new series, but he keeps getting younger and younger with almost every regeneration recently.

There may be what some consider to be spoilers ahead, but personally I take The Sun with a large grain of salt. Plus, it's still pretty early to call anything more than speculation at this point...

I'd think you'd want to be careful how you hold these given the number of body parts chopped off in the Star Wars films.
