Gizmodo has a very odd yet compelling article today on why there are so many different kinds of electrical plugs in the world today.

Seriously- it is an interesting read. Esp. the part about why the Brits have such a bizzaro plug (it has to do with WWII and the blitz- strange).

Interesting way to kill some time on a Friday.
